Optimized Sound for a Classic Pentecostal Space
Filadelfia Church in Chiuiești is a Pentecostal church with a classic architectural approach. The goal of this project was to create an intelligible and evenly distributed sound system across all zones, ensuring clarity for both spoken word and musical performances.
Scope
Given the corner-positioned stage, the sound system needed to:
- Cover the entire audience with uniform sound distribution.
- Maintain high intelligibility across different seating areas, including the balcony.
- Provide precise monitoring for speakers and vocalists.
Solution
The Acoustic Density Line Array system was chosen to achieve an optimal balance between clarity, consistency, and acoustic control. The setup included:
- Three speaker columns utilizing L204 as satellites and L110 for mid-bass, ensuring even sound projection across all three audience sections.
- Additional L204 satellites placed at balcony delay points to maintain the same sonic signature throughout the space.
- Overhead monitoring system, incorporating two L204 satellites on dedicated mounts behind the central line array column, providing seamless monitoring for speakers.
- M12 floor monitors for vocalists and instruments, offering ideal on-stage monitoring and enhancing performance clarity.
Acoustic Optimization
- The Line Array Acoustic Density system was selected for its ability to reduce reflections and enhance focus on the audience.
- The acoustic enclosures were carefully placed to achieve maximum sound clarity while maintaining the church’s architectural aesthetics.
